Supported Employment

Our Supported Employment services give adults with disabilities in Southern New Jersey a structured, realistic pathway into the workforce. We work one-on-one, honoring each person's skills, interests, and pace, while focusing on one outcome: competitive, integrated employment whenever possible.

We begin with Career Exploration to uncover strengths, preferences, and realistic job options. From there, Resume Building, Job Search Strategies, and Interview Preparation help individuals present themselves confidently to employers. Communication Skills Training, Workplace Etiquette Training, and Time Management Coaching turn abstract "soft skills" into concrete habits that make it easier to fit into real workplaces.

Once a career direction is clear, our Skill Development Workshops, Trade-Specific Training, Technology Use Training, and Workplace Safety Training build essential, hands-on abilities needed on the job. For individuals pursuing credentials, we provide Certification Preparation with focused career certification support, industry credential coaching, and practical industry-recognized exam prep. This training for professional certifications can open doors to better opportunities and higher starting wages.

As job opportunities emerge, we use Worksite Assessment to evaluate accessibility and fit, and Job Placement Assistance to match individuals with roles that align with their NJISP goals. Employer Collaboration helps create inclusive job descriptions, customized tasks, and realistic expectations so everyone starts on the same page.

Once hired, our On-the-Job Support and Employment Coaching provide direct guidance at the worksite, from learning tasks to managing workplace communication. Job Retention Support then continues in the background, helping address challenges early so individuals can keep their jobs, grow their hours, or move up over time.
